Great experience - I highly recommend them and would use them again. Very convenient pickup location in downtown Split just outside the Palace walls (no need to go all the way to the airport) as well as convenient drop-off location which we used in downtown Zagreb near the train station. The price was right, the city center pick-up and drop-off locations saved a lot of logistical headaches since we were staying in the center of both cities, and the staff which whom we dealt were all professional and on top of their business. Great experience all around.

No hassle rental with Avax out of Split with a return to the Split airport. Everyone was very thorough and friendly. I got a bigger car then ordered which was a bit disappointing however it was in great condition and did the job. Note when returning to the airport: the Avax lot is not with the other rental returns. When you see the sign to turn left for rentals continue to proceed straight under the glass bridge. It will be shortly after to the right. We were a bit late on the return because of this but the gal was understanding and helpful. If you are staying in Split, it is better to get a smaller car for parking reasons. Parking can be very difficult in the main center.

I picked up in Split harbour and returned to the airport. No hastle, friendly service and the best price in Split I could find. Also I had an issue with my payment card and they did their best to find a solution. Definitely recommend.

Needed a local car rental from Split center without needing to go back to the airport. Was able to order from Avax online and was also able to return the car in Dubrovnik. Once in Split I needed to bring forward my rental, and was able to call the local office with no problem and speak in English and change my reservation. On the day of pickup, the car was ready at the time that I had reserved and was also the exact model that I had reserved on my reservation. Staff were young and very helpful, polite with even a sense of humor. Have no hesitation in recommending Avax for people renting in Split / Dubrovnik
